Shelter Rock Ranch is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in 2017 to help boys develop the needed skills to thrive in their families, communities, and the workplace.
We currently offer Life Skill Training camps to boys ages 12-16. These 3-hour training camps are held one Saturday a month and focus on teaching young men skills such as wise use of finances, basic auto and home maintenance, and effective communication. In conjunction with these skills, we work to instill the soft skills needed for a successful life including integrity, responsibility, teamwork, problem solving skills, and more.
Our goal is to help boys learn the skills needed to be leaders and thrive in the current and future job markets. We target soft skills that employers have expressed are most needed in their employees.
We do not currently have an official “ranch”, as we are still in the process of finding and purchasing property. In the future, we plan to have a property that will serve as a residential facility for young people who need to replace their current environment, due to gang influence, unhealthy family situations, or any variety of issues, for one more conducive to learning and maturing.
Working through mentorship, character development, and life skill training, we empower young men to maximize their potential and mature into productive citizens and leaders of their communities.
We recruit stable, godly men who not only serve as good role models but actively challenge the young men to reach their goals.
